This will be my 11th year of riding my bike and it has been a ride every single year. I started racing on the Velodrome in Trexlertown, Pa, but at the time I was still really involved in softball and basketball so I was not interested in racing seriously. I attended my first Junior Nationals in 1995 in Kenosha, Wi, and that is when I hit my first bout of success in the sport, so it fueled me to continue and set goals for myself. I have not looked back since, and I have enjoyed all the travel and friends that I meet along the way. Cycling attracts a different breed of people, we put our bodies through so much but it is usally all worth it at the end of the day. For the moment I am enjoying watching myself develop as an athlete and teaching myself the discipline that is involved with it.
This year should be an exciting year, a new team and new adventures around every corner. I have come so far and I need to thank all the people who have helped me get to where I am now. You have all made a difference in my life and have all played a part in my career. |
